Campus Safety & Security Project
July 16, 2009 -- The goal of the National Campus Safety and Security Project is to document the current state of college and university emergency preparedness as a means to inform the higher education community about the scope of campus safety and security today. Through a collaborative effort of the associations [noted below] representing many of the key administrative departments within colleges and universities that need to work effectively together to safeguard the community, this project is intended to set a baseline picture of the state of campus safety and security. The expectation is that by documenting and communicating this information, colleges and universities will continue to improve their emergency preparedness plans to deal with the all-hazards environment of today.
