What does my virtual conference fee include?
The fee includes two full days of education and networking, including six educational session blocks, all-conference sessions, multiple networking activities, two opportunities to chat with vendors, and more.
Will sessions be available for viewing after the date?
Those who register for the 2020 CSHEMA Virtual Conference will have access to on-demand content at a later date. Attendees are strongly encouraged to attend the live sessions to foster networking, participation, and a conference-like experience.
What if I register but then am unable to attend the live event? Or portions of it?
Attendees are strongly encouraged to attend as much of the live sessions as possible to foster networking, participation, and a conference-like experience. Review the cancellation policy for more details as needed.
With no in-person event, when will the leadership transition take place?
The new CSHEMA Board of Trustees will officially take office following the Virtual Conference, just like they at the in-person event.
When are we recognizing award winners?
A recognition campaign will be done via email and social media to honor those who would have receive awards at the 2020 Annual Conference. Read your CSHEMA communications in the coming weeks to see these announcements!

Attendee Questions

What technology do I need to participate?

A laptop or personal computer are the minimal requirements. If you wish to participate in networking and live chat, a webcam and microphone are also required. Below you can see a list of browsers the service is compatible with.

Can I connect 1:1 with someone attending the conference? Will there be a full attendee list?
Yes! You can directly message another individual 1:1. You can see a full list of those participating in the meeting and interact directly through the system and find contact details.

Other ways to connect include an all-conference general chat, individual session chats, and individual booth chats.
Will I be able to ask questions during sessions?
Yes! A moderator will help field and answer questions in the session chat and make the presenter aware of the questions.
Will I have to be on camera if I attend the virtual conference?
You are not required to be on camera during the conference. Typically, only presenters will actively be on camera during sessions. However, the presenter may invite other individuals to appear on camera for discussion.

If you choose to participate in any networking functions, it is expected you would engage fully by being on video.
How can I interact with exhibitors?
Exhibitors will be online to chat with participants during the the Virtual Expo times. You can also provide your contact information to an exhibitor within the booth by selecting "Request to Connect" for direct follow up.

Will I be able to know how many people are in my session? Will I be able to connect easily with those who are in my session?
Yes, the number of attendees is displayed for both the presenter and attendees to see. A moderator will help field and answer questions in the session chat. It is also possible to direct message with individuals via the chat panel. A chat log can be downloaded after the event, allowing you follow up on any unanswered questions.
