Volunteer

Volunteering gives you greater visibility in the EHS profession, offers you a new way to apply and enhance your skills, and enables you to expand your professional network to learn about innovations best practices.

CSHEMA offers the following types of volunteer positions for members. You can indicate interest in serving by completing the Volunteer Interest Form. Most volunteer positions are appointed by the president annually in July following the Annual Conference.

Leading Volunteers

Leading volunteers determine and advance strategic directions, govern over long-term goals, represent the association to other members, and set the tone for the member experience.

Planning Volunteers

Planning volunteer positions work well for those interested in collaborating to create member experiences such as events, research, fundraising, and other opportunities.

Serving Volunteers

These volunteers serve by supporting peer networking and resource sharing, collaborating on projects that meet a specific need, or communicating the value of CSHEMA.

Contributing Volunteers

Contributing volunteers curate content, review materials to help make decisions, share expertise to build credibility, and welcome participants at events.
